Steerr is a social car shopping platform, where you can get personalized car recommendations by using the car suggestion tool which sorts the most suitable listings for you. You can book test drives with other users' cars, connect with fellow enthusiasts, organize meetups, and seek advice from our community.
These Terms and Conditions regulate your access and use of the Steerr application, its content and services offered by Steerr. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you may not be able to access or use Steerr. The following outlines the agreements or commitments with you. Please note that Steerr reserves the right to immediately terminate these Terms and Conditions or your use of the Steerr application in relation to you, or in general, to discontinue or deny access at any time and for any reason.
Once registered, you can browse through the application's content and use its basic functions. There is an account verification process, and by requesting it or continuing to operate as a car owner or customer on Steerr, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and legitimate information about yourself. You authorize Steerr to store and use this user information to verify your identity and ensure the security of users and any activities conducted on and through Steerr, such as test drives, passenger rides or meetings.
To book test drives, list cars, and access certain other Steerr features, you must verify your account by providing a valid driver's license. If you don't have a driver's license, you must provide a valid identification document such as a Citizen ID, Foreigner ID, or Passport. Getting verified without a driver's license, you won't be able to list cars or book test drives. You understand and agree that, under suspicion of identity impersonation, providing invalid documents, and/or suspicion of fraud, Steerr may, at its sole discretion and at any time and for any reason, suspend or deactivate your account. Accounts are verified once all required documents are uploaded and approved by Steerr's verification team.
Once your account is fully verified, you can proceed to book test drives. Before sending a test drive request, ask your host about his/her availability schedule. Keep in mind that the car owner may or may not accept the request. Make sure you take the ride in the car listed on the owner's profile. As a car owner, you can give potential buyers a passenger ride to learn more about your vehicle. When you feel comfortable, you can let them co-drive for a while. Your guest will come to the address you provided when you posted your listing. A typical test drive lasts about 1 hour. Whether you accept or decline test drive requests is up to you, but doing so can help you sell your car faster. Remember to ask the Citizen ID or identification document from your guest before initializing the test drive.
To organize meetings, your account must be verified. Unverified users can attend only open meetings, which are not set to be private for verified users. Any rides shared during Steerr meetings are subject to all the terms and conditions mentioned on this page. Steerr can not and will not be held responsible for any illegal activities or accidents that might occur during a meeting conducted through Steerr.
All user content provided by you on Steerr remains your property. However, by providing the user content to Steerr, you grant a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, royalty-free license to sublicense, use, copy, modify, create derivative works, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, or otherwise exploit such user content in all formats and distribution channels of Steerr. You agree not to provide defamatory, slanderous, violent, obscene, pornographic, or offensive content. Steerr may review, monitor, or remove such content at its sole discretion and at any time and for any reason.
You are responsible for getting the necessary data network access to use Steerr and for any applicable fees. You are also responsible for acquiring and updating compatible hardware or devices needed to access and use Steerr and any updates to these. You agree to read and understand the updated Terms and Conditions for the proper use of Steerr.
You may not authorize third parties to use your Steerr account. You must act with integrity, treat others and their vehicles with respect, and comply with all applicable laws and national regulations while using Steerr. You agree not to cause harm or damage to third-party property while using Steerr. Remember that as a passenger, the vehicle owner may require your identification for verification. You accept that access or use may be denied if you refuse to provide a valid identification.
You are responsible for your own actions and omissions, especially when giving a ride to your guest or taking a test drive. You acknowledge that many activities carry inherent risks, and to the extent allowed by applicable law, you assume all risks arising from your access and use of the Steerr application. You agree to be responsible for determining what is suitable for you when participating in the services offered by Steerr.
Currently, Steerr does not provide any insurance coverage. Therefore, you are solely responsible for verifying whether your own car insurance covers the cost of any damage caused by your guest during a test drive, both to your vehicle and third parties. In the event of an accident, both the vehicle owner and the guest are responsible for ensuring themselves and holding valid auto insurance, respectively.
The price for taking a test drive in a car listed on Steerr is based on the selling price set by the car owner. The guest pays in cash at the end of the ride. Steerr does not recieve payment or commissions from users and is not responsible for any transactions or vehicle sales outside the application. Other prices, such as listing fees, are determined by Steerr and may be updated at any time without prior notice.
The following activities are banned when using the Steerr application, and by accepting these Terms and Conditions, you agree not to: recruit, retain, transfer, or receive individuals by force, deception, or coercion for the purpose of exploitation. You agree not to engage in or receive sexual services during Steerr experiences, rides, or test drives. You agree not to use illegal drugs or substances, as well as not to consume alcohol during rides and test drives. You agree not to distribute, sell, give, or traffic illegal drugs and substances while using Steerr.
If you believe that you or someone else is in a risky or dangerous situation, please contact local authorities for assistance. If you witness or experience behavior from other users that goes against our policies, please notify us.
By accepting our Terms and Conditions, you understand and agree that any abuse of our services may result in the suspension or deactivation of your account.
